COMERG designs and builds low-pressure botanical extraction systems in Phoenix, Arizona. Since 2015 we have engineered a cooler, cleaner route to pure extracts, the ATOMIC platform, and put it to work for flavour, fragrance and pharmaceutical producers worldwide.
Our story
An extraction method the industry overlooked.
For decades, large-scale extraction defaulted to high-pressure CO2 and aggressive solvents, mostly for historical reasons. COMERG took a different path. We built our process around tetrafluoroethane, a remarkably inert, food-grade gas that liquefies under gentle pressure and leaves nothing behind.
That single choice changes everything downstream. The process runs cold, at 2 to 9 bar, with no air and no heat, so the colour, aroma and active compounds of the plant survive intact. Lower pressure also means simpler, safer equipment and far lower running costs. We named the platform ATOMIC.

The ATOMIC platform ships
